Again, back to school days... I composed this poem delving into the then students' (referring to myself and those around me) brain...
EXPECTATIONS
"How was your exam? I fared mine well."
"O! mine was terrible! I must tell."
"The results when declared will seal my fate;"
are the responses of the students after the examination date.
Its a game of expectations, no more no less,
that always decides a student's happiness
rather than the marks he gets.
One who thinks he fares well may actually get less,
than the one who terribly fared & found difficult to progress.
So best is never to expect anything
And wait till the results tell everything.
In this way you won't grieve if you fare bad,
neither will good result get to your head.
After all, marks are just to test one's knowledge,
not to trouble oneself to the razor's edge.
