I

Happy world poetry day folks!

A poem to mark this day... to celebrate the diversity i.e. humanity...

I am a small part of the divine whole,
the part of the puzzle merging with other pieces to fulfill the divine role.

I am a man/woman
playing his/her part, for gender can define me, not confine my soul which is second to none.

I am black/dusky/brown/wheatish/fair
but my skin tone does not define my attractiveness, which is always there.

I belong to different religions and yet to none,
for, their purpose is to unite me with the one.

I live at different places, which mould me
and make me tolerant of each other and practise the greater religion - humanity.

I am a child / adult fulfilling my role
to attain the divine whole.

 I am a toddler/parent/grand-parent
fulfilling my duty patent.

I am a professional/non-professional,
not categorized but broadened by it all.

I love because loving is my second nature,
not bounded by gender.

I am of different shapes and sizes
but my spirit is not, it customizes

I am my intellect, my emotions - my brain, my heart
I am me,
not your perception, so, let me be.

FAIR AND UGLY

Happy women's day to all the lovely ladies! Something to ponder over...

FAIR AND UGLY

Ohh! I see her tummy bulge
Fatty! eat less and more in exercise indulge
Get two tones lighter, try fair and lovely
With such dark complexion, no boy will marry you ugly!

Plunging neckline and rising hemline, her skimpy attire invites Satan's desire
Poised and graceful, in a saree, Bhartiya naree, how eloquent is her attire
Don't spread your legs, sit like a lady
Make less noise, don't raise your voice, be agreeable Sadie

So much makeup, she looks so artificial
Too poor features, requires she grooming superficial
Bossy, sassy, glossy, saucy
With what more words will you label her, fussy?

She doesn't walk like beauty in the night
She is a woman of substance acknowledge her might

Her clothes, her walk, her chores, her talk
Her frame, her limbs, her name, her whims
Are hers to don;
Not your to own

She's divine sequel -
 comprising man and his equal
The way she is, let her be
A little classy, sassy and yeah, a whole lot bad-assy!
