I choose

For, life is all about choices.

Two diverging roads

I choose to
let go -
Of the baggage that drained me,
Of the pessimism that plagued me,
Of the turmoil that haunted me;
physically and mentally -
all these years -
with and without
my knowledge.

I choose to
be my own God
with due respect
to the Almighty
if there is one
for
how can one be sure
if one does not know
And yet it's not
God thyself
rather
the faith and devotion
thus - that makes
the difference.

I choose to
live on my own terms
Because
living in any other way
is self-defeating and deprecating
if not
impossible.

I choose to
forgive,
to live with compassion
Revenge only destroys
both -
the subject and the object.
For, in forgiving lies greater good
not only to
oneself but –
humanity.

I choose to
pursue my passion
And, why not?
Because
anything else
seems like
a burden.

I choose to
think
more,
more objectively
and judge less
if not - not at all
Because
it blinds you
from
perceiving
the bigger picture.

I choose to
live
in the present
because
that is
the only possible way.
The past is dead
And the future - yet to unfold.
Worrying
about both
is a complete waste of time;
and might I say,
Most useless.

I choose to
choose
Because that is going to
define the path
of
the rest of my life.
And thank God,
there always is -
a choice!

Gratitude

Whatever there is, is a gift. The present we must value - every present moment. But as humans we tend to forget it. Take everyth...
